Updates

Busy busy studying and working! Life's simple but pretty enjoyable here. Everything is going on pretty smoothly so I guess that's a good thing.

Been hearing this song quite alot recently. Just ironically stirs some thoughts.

Rihanna - Take A Bow

Oh, How about a round of applause
Yeah, A standing ovation
Look so dumb right now
Standing outside my house
Trying to apologize
You're so ugly when you cry
Please, just cut it out

Don't tell me you're sorry cause you're not
Baby when I know you're only sorry you got caught
But you put on quite a show
Really had me going
But now it's time to go
Curtain's finally closing
That was quite a show
Very entertaining
But it's over now
Go on and take a bow

Car Servicing

Finally took some time off to send the car for some basic servicing. I had already noticed my front right tyre having a leak so told them (mechanic) to do a patch at the same time.
When I returned an hour or so later, another sales assistant was standing at the counter to serve me. So he told me, based on the work order form he has, the tyre patching wasn't possible! I was pretty upset and disappointed as the tyres here costs pretty much and I know that I had to change a set of 2 minimum.
Luckily, after checking again further with the original sales assistant who served me, it was verified that the tyre was patched.
Apparantly, the initial finding was a nail stuck at the side of the tyre, thus making it not possible to patch it up. However, the mechanic then found another nail in the middle of the tyre and he patched that one up and realized that the nail at the side was very short and thus did not damage the tyre itself at all.
I was just thinking some random thoughts about this incident and I just felt that sometimes in life, there are those things that never really matter but will always be there. Whereas there'll always be those that did matter which can be patched up.

Phoenix Trip 03/07

It was the independance day weekend so we had a long 3-day break which was pretty refreshing. Instead of heading up to San Diego which we initially planned, we decided to drop by Phoenix (Arizona) because there were only 3 days and a 6-hour road trip to SD just wasn't worth it.

So we ended up heading towards Phoenix for its amusement park which turned out to be pretty disappointing. It was made more for kids and the rides did not look attractive at all.
However, we still had a great time playing arcade games for about 2 hours. It was nostalgic to be playing these games at 20++ years old. (ahem, our age is a secret).

Subsequently we pressed on for lunch at the all famous American Steak House - Texas Roadhouse! The portions were huge naturally and we almost died eating! But that was good of course. I must recommend the Ribs in this place, it really melts in the mouth. Just above the standard of Tony Roma's in my opinion.

The next and most fulfilling destination of the trip was Factory Outlet Shoppings! The prices were ridiculous. Apart from the usual lower prices in the factory outlets, there were further discounts! Could you imagine discounts on discount is like.. CHEAP! Anyway, we all had great fun shopping like crazy. Walked for almost 4 hours plus. Made the 2 hour drive to Phoenix all so worth it at the end.

So that was the beginning of this 3-day weekend. And I believe more is to come tonight!

Car Wash

I think I haven't washed a car in years maybe. As in really scrubbed and wash and dry and vacumn. But yea, that's what preoccupied my entire afternoon today. Put on a good scrub on the white Mustang and well, I must say I still can't make it look brand new of course. But probably made it look at least a 5 year old instead of a 9 year old. Well, but if you really want to put a definitive statement on the difference, hell it just makes me feel better thinking it's younger!
But this time round, I put it through the machine wash though. Hah! So perhaps next time I'll be scrubbing this baby myself.
